The Foundation was established
and registered under number Rej F-2122/99 at the district court in Warsaw
on 27th December 1993.
The idea behind the setting up of this foundation was not only to provide
healthcare to sick children, but also to educate the young in health promoting
activities.
The Board comprises six voluntarily working individuals:

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
-To organise a wide range of activities and events
for the benefit of poorly children
-To arrange specific educational conferences in the promotion of good health
-To assist in the supply of medical equipment to the wider health service
-To provide medical expertise in the rehabilitation of handicapped youngsters
Our foundation relies upon institutional gifts, covenants, legacies and public
donations for its funding together with internally generated funds from gala
dinners and balls.
EXAMPLES OF ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN
- Provision of inhalers to children suffering from
bronchial asthma through health centres or on an individual basis.
-The furnishing of all childrens' wards within Radom district with good quality
inhalers.
-Amongst others, the purchasing of two cardiomonitors, infants' incubators
and infusion pumps for the children's ward in Kozienice.
-Assisting in the setting up of an equine therapy facility for handicapped
children within the "Skarb" Horsemanship Club in Kozienice. In addition,
financial support was provided in the training of five hypotherapists.
-Providing funding for two handicapped children to attend intensive rehabilitation,
together with six other youngsters from the Mental Disorder School in Opactwo,
during their summer break.
-Promoting oral hygiene within all pre-schools in Kozienice since 1994.
-Providing immunisation in 1996 against Hepatitis B for the very young of
Kozienice district.
-Designing and printing two editions of the first map of Kozienice town.
-Organising a "Golden Heart" (number 423) auction during the II final show
of the Great Orchestra of Festive Help, directed by Jerzy Owsiak
-Participation in various forums concerned with the promotion of child laws.
-Improving overall conditions within the children's ward of Kozienice Hospital,
so as to create a "child friendly atmosphere"
-Hosting, since 1994, the annual conference for pediatricians from the Mazowsze
district.
-Hosting, for the POZ medical staff, annual seminars since autum1999
Since the inception of our "Healthy Child" Foundation,
we have received a great deal of support from the public and,
without your help, we could not have done so much for our sick
children.
